Bonnie Hunter's method of cutting leftover fabric bits into usable pieces appealed to me as soon as I read about it. So I have a box of 2.5" strips and another box of various size squares. I recently scrambled them into sets of 9 and made blocks. A few are traditional 5/4 nine patches. A few have 3 or 4 pieces that match and others are just related bits. After 20 blocks I had some soft pretty blocks and lots of bold strong blocks. These are the bold blocks that I hope will appeal to a young boy sent off into foster care in Tioga County. I made some more soft, pretty blocks and will finish that one soon.
